ADIF expects to complete phase 1.1 of the works to remodel the Júndiz Logistics Node by the end of the first quarter of 2025. This will expand its current capacity to handle 8 freight trains per day and 50,000 ILUs/year.
This infrastructure will be connected to both the European standard gauge rail network and the Iberian gauge network, which will allow it to offer top-notch intermodal logistics services.
In the future, on top of this €36.9 million investment, spaces will be renovated to develop the planned railway motorway and new logistics areas, with an estimated €114.5 million invested in civil works and infrastructures.
