Vitoria-Gasteiz Intermodal Transport and Logistics Centre

The Vitoria-Gasteiz Intermodal Transport Centre (CTV) is a comprehensive logistics park on the Atlantic Corridor, strategically located within the Trans-European Transport Network.

Thanks to its proximity to the Vitoria-Gasteiz city centre and its excellent communications network, CTV is the city’s main Urban Freight Distribution hub.

The Centre is part of the Júndiz industrial estate, the largest in the Basque Country with more than 700 hectares of industrial land and many industrial facilities, services and logistics platforms.

This ecosystem is home to the main logistics operators and CTV offers them a variety of facilities and services to help them operate safely, sustainably and efficiently.

The  Vitoria-Gasteiz intermodal logistics platform, adjacent to CTV, is run by ADIF and one of the seven nodes in the network of intermodal and strategic logistics terminals established by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility. It will soon be able to handle 750-metre trains on both standard and Iberian gauge. It will be equipped for loading and unloading containers, with capacity for 170,000 ILUs per year.

There are plans to build a new rail motorway that can handle up to 150,000 semi-trailers at this terminal, which will connect CTV to the main European ports and distribution centres, significantly reducing the carbon footprint.
